Canada's federal ombudsman for the victims of crime will give Canadians her take on the government's recently tabled victims bill of rights when she holds a news conference today.
Sue O'Sullivan is set to release her response to Bill C-32 on Tuesday in Ottawa.
CBCNews.ca is carrying the event live starting at 10 a.m. ET.
Mobile users can watch the event here.
On April 3, Prime Minister Stephen Harper announced legislation — the victims bill of rights act — to give victims of crime a more effective voice in the criminal justice system.
O'Sullivan initially welcomed the bill when it was presented last month, and said she would take time to review it.
She also said the bill does not cover all the areas that victims say need attention.
