In his first official public appearance since the holiday hiatus, Prime Minister Stephen Harper heads west to Delta, where he'll join Employment Minister Jason Kenney and Revenue Minister Kerry-Lynne FIndlay for a mid-morning photo op and announcement at the BC Institute of Technology/Vancouver Community College.

Elsewhere on the ministerial circuit:

  • Natural Resources Minister Greg Rickford continues his good news mini-tour of Northern Ontario with a stop at Red Lake Town Hall, where he'll "meet with stakeholders" before unveiling yet another instalment of federal support for "jobs, economic growth and prosperity" in the region.
  • Meanwhile, Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke MP Cheryl Gallant will be front and centre at CNL Chalk River Laboratories, where she'll "celebrate a milestone"  —- specifically, the commissioning of a new research lab —  alongside Rickford's parliamentary secretary, Kelly Block.

Back in Ottawa, Joint Task Force Commander Brig-General Daniel Constable will host a teleconference to update reporters on Canada's ongoing military operations in Iraq.
