Before meeting up with his cabinet colleague, however, MacKay will make a mid-morning funding announcement at the Highfield Park Housing Complex in Dartmouth.
Meanwhile, in Montreal, Citizenship and Immigration Minister Chris Alexander will kick off the 4th annual International Forum by unveiling new support for "a development initiative aimed at strengthening women's economic empowerment in Burkina Faso."

In Toronto, newly minted Veterans Affairs Minister Erin O'Toole speaks at a Rotary Club meeting that will, according to the advisory, be "focused on care, compassion and respect for Canada's Veterans."
Also in the Greater Toronto Area today: Labour Minister Kellie Leitch delivers fresh cash earmarked for "local youth" to a Collingwood employment service centre.
In Winnipeg, Canadian Heritage Minister Shelly Glover shows her government's support for the Manitoba trucking industry, while Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz unloads a fresh instalment of federal assistance for the pulse sector.
Finally, Natural Resources Minister Greg Rickford outlines "new environmental initiatives" to be undertaken with the Musqueam First Nation, while in Vancouver, National Revenue Minister Kerry-Lynne Findlay will be graded on her government's red tape reduction efforts by the Canadian Federation of Independent Business.
Later this evening, Green Party Leader Elizabeth May holds a town hall with her constituents on Saturna Island.
