French President François Hollande continues his Canadian visit Tuesday with stops in Quebec City and Montreal.
He begins with a stop at the Port of Quebec and a visit to a climate change research project administered by Laval University in Quebec City and France's national scientific research centre.
Hollande will then address the National Assembly before heading to Montreal for a tour of a technological firm.
Monday in Ottawa, Hollande said he wants to see Canada taking an active role in helping the world achieve a major climate change agreement.
The French president said he doesn't want to see Canada deferring active participation on the environment until after the next federal election, set for October 2015.
