Canadians are getting their first look at the design of their new passports today, at a 10 a.m. ET announcement by Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird in Ottawa.
The new passport design will include features that make it more secure and less vulnerable to counterfeiting.
The new features will also add to the aesthetic appeal of the document. Watermarks on the new passport pages will feature artwork of iconic images from Canadian history.
